CoH...QQ Moar.

I missed last week due to internet issues, and had a really good post intended, but, I think that the current QQ over CoH is more important at this time.

I have always been a CoH priest. I love it. It heals 5 people that aren't low enough to deserve a flash heal but still should be topped off in quite an efficient way. It was perfect for healing the melee group, back before it became a 'smart heal', every now and then. I will repeat- Every now and then. It is not supposed to be spammed. Even now that it heals 5 people in range of your target, it is not suppsoed to be spammed. Spam = no mana. End of story.

I've heard rumors of it being set on a 6 second cooldown, if so, this is awesome. I have had so many problems with priest's complaining about mana efficiency and not being able to get off other, more important, heals in time. After looking on Recount to see which spells they'd been using it is always upsetting to see Circle of Healing at the top of the list as being more than 75% of their total healing. When I bring up this point to them, I am always assaulted with the excuse of- I'm doing more healing than you. Yes. Your CoH hits more people than my single Flash Heal thereby doing more healing. But. A minute into a boss fight, I still have mana. And you don't. My healing assignments stay alive just fine without my spamming of an inefficient raid heal.

I am not bashing CoH. As I mentioned at the beginning, I have always been a CoH priest, even before the guild's ascent into BT. DS just never appealed to me. I think that, with the coming nerf, the good Priest healers will adapt to a life with a 6 sec CD CoH. The bad ones will reroll, or try to heal as Disc.

I cannot say how raiding in Northrend will affect my current plan for speccing and playing at 80. When I get there, I will post on it. Simple things like a CoH nerf should not be such an issue right now, when, the only people past 70 are on Beta.
